Cornell University is looking for an individual deeply rooted in the tech sector to serve as the CornellNYC Director of External Relations. The successful candidate will be highly networked in New York City, with relevant experience in both external relations and marketing/communications.
Key Responsibilities The Director of External Relations will develop and execute the CornellNYC strategy to build effective relationships with diverse external constituencies.
Create innovative opportunities and collaborations with the tech sector, corporations and others such as venture capitalists, in support of the teaching, research, and academic mission.
Develop and execute strategies with economic development leaders in support of technology entrepreneurship and commercialization.
Foster and manage community and government relations to create a positive and productive political environment in support of CornellNYC.
Oversee a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that strengthens and promotes the CornellNYC brand.
